Quanta Quartet Australian Tour

Super honored to be have been commissioned by the Quanta Saxophone Quartet, to write a new work for their Australian tour in August 2014!

The Quanta Quartet, based in Paris, is a cross-continental collaborative project established by American saxophonists Don-Paul Kahl and Jacob Kopcienski, and Australian saxophonists Ali Fyffe and Matt Hinchliffe. I have worked with quartet member Don-Paul Kahl in various capacities before, as almost two years ago he commissioned a solo saxophone work from me, and has since been an important collaborator in my musical career.

To help cover the expenses of the tour such as venue hire, promotion, flights, and instrument costs, the group has a fundraising goal of $2,200.

You can donate online at their POZIBLE CAMPAIGN. The link also has more detailed information on Quanta and its goals.

New Juilliard Ensemble Premiere

Joel Sachs, conductor of the New Juilliard Ensemble, recently wrote a great article in The Juilliard Journal about the April 1 concert, featuring music by Valentin Bibik, and premieres by Michael Ippolito, Robin de Raaff, and yours truly. Check it out HERE!

In addition, the concert was reviewed in the New York Times and Susan Scheid of Prufrock’s Dilemma reviewed it, calling Immovability a “fitting close to a fascinating concert.”
